Over its 10-year run, Burnhearts Mitten Fest has earned the undisputed distinction of being Milwaukee’s favorite wintertime celebration. We’re pleased to report the sprawling block party and one-day escape from the seasonal doldrums will be returning for another installment on Saturday, February 3. However, as we told you back in December, there will be one noticeable change. The 2024 installment of Mitten Fest will take place outside Boone & Crockett (818 S. Water St.), a temporary venue change to allow Burnhearts ownership to take a year away from hosting the ever-growing block party “to re-envision [their] location.”

Though Mitten Fest will be in a new site this winter, you can still expect the same winning mix of craft beverages and tasty treats from area food vendors from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Oh, and there will still be top-notch local projects performing throughout the day. Today, Milwaukee Record—an official media sponsor of Mitten Fest along with WMSE—is proud to announce the eclectic and altogether awesome musical lineup that will take the stage. Here it is! (Acts listed from headliner to opener)

5:30 p.m. start Rat Bath

4:00 p.m. Force

2:30 p.m. Emmitt James

1:00 p.m. Hanna Simone

(Between-act DJing by Christreater from WMSE)

As if the stacked cast of local musicians isn’t enticing enough, Boone & Crockett will serve rare and limited beers from Central Waters Brewery and Founders Brewing and a wealth of wintry cocktails. You can enjoy food from a variety of vendors and browse a Mitten Fest marketplace that features an eclectic range of local retailers. As always, the event will also accept cash for Hunger Task Force. We’ll have more specific information on all of that soon.
