On January 31, Fuzzysurf sidestepped expectations with the release of Chameleons. The long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s super poppy Sweet Tooth is a 20-track, genre-jumping double LP that proves the band—which was previously best-known for its incomparably ambitious music videos—does not blend in with its local music contemporaries in the slightest.
Now that listeners had an opportunity to process and appreciate Fuzzysurf’s best album yet, the band has earned the right to sit back and let its outstanding album do the talking. There’s really no need for a next-level music video to attract any more attention, but what if they still put out yet another great music video anyway? You’d want to watch that, right? Of course you would! Well, you’re in luck.
Today, Fuzzysurf released a video for “Never Fell In Love,” a standout Chameleons single. Directed by frequent collaborator Tommy Simms (half of Fuzzysurf’s go-to Simwig Studios production team), the song’s visual pairing features the band embroiled in a full-blown murder mystery. The whimsical whodunit—which was filmed at Dandy—has shades of Clue, but with way better music. Check out Fuzzysurf’s “Never Fell In Love” video below, and make sure to stick around for the fangtastic twist.
