The inaugural Eaux Claires festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin was a breath of fresh air in a music festival climate dominated by overhyped shit-shows like Coachella and Bonnaroo. The Justin Vernon- (Bon Iver) and Aaron Dessner- (The National) curated fest played host to bands like Low, Sufjan Stevens, Sylvan Esso, Phox, and many more, and did so in a relaxed and thoughtful way. If there was a better mid-sized music festival held in the Wisconsin woods during the summer of 2015, we’re not aware of it. Read all about it in our super-sized recap here.

Now, the fest has announced it will return for a second installment, August 12-13, 2016. According to the Eaux Claires website:

With excitement and gratitude, we can now announce: Eaux Claires is returning to the Chippewa Valley, August 12th and 13th, 2016. Be amongst the first to reserve your pass with a very limited presale, Thursday October 22nd at 10am CST. Presale purchasers will receive the lowest price tickets, as well as a guaranteed right to purchase a campsite before they go on sale in early 2016. Artist lineups will be announced early next year.

Eau Claire passes grant access to the festival for both days. To make 2016 Chippewa passes more inclusive, they now include specially prepared lunch and dinner each day, along with complimentary beer and wine in a relaxing environment near the main stage.

Eaux Claires, 2016: We’ll join you there…again.
