If the fact we’re mere hours from the start of November and it’s getting dark before 6 p.m. didn’t already hammer the point home, allow us the be the bearer of bad news: summer is over. It’s sad, but it’s true. Fall has firmly announced its arrival and winter is coming. BUT there are a few reminders of summer’s splendor that still remain in Milwaukee—at least until this weekend is through. We’ve already informed you that Nite Owl’s last day of 2025 is coming fast, but Milwaukee County Parks just announced another warm-weather amenity that will be (temporarily) calling it quits after this weekend.

The South Shore Terrace beer garden at South Shore Park in Bay View (the last County Parks beer garden still in operation this late into the year) will be open for its penultimate day of 2025 on Saturday, November 1 and will officially close for the season after service on Sunday, November 2. So if you’re looking to work in one final beer garden visit this year, South Shore Terrace is the place to be from 12-6 p.m. this weekend.

As for specials and freebies, expect free tap beverages and 50% off food (while supplies last) on November 2. You can bring your own glass (because we know you probably have a bunch) or purchase one to take home for $2.

We urge you to partake in one more afternoon at the beer garden this year and say goodbye to South Shore Terrace—for now—by filling up on draft beer, root beer, and food this Saturday and Sunday. Cheers!
