A new bar called Old Skoolz is set to open soon in the former Victoria’s on Potter at 1100 E. Potter Ave. in Bay View. New bar! Old school!
“We are just a laid back classic old school bar with great people,” reads Old Skoolz’ Facebook description. “Come relax after a hard day of work in our nice and toasty in the winter, ice cold in the summer, atmosphere bar.”
And, um, that’s pretty much it. Old Skoolz didn’t elaborate on their plans when we reached out to them last month. Old Skoolz owner Tim Wishman didn’t have much to say to OnMilwaukee, either. Maybe a laid-back classic old-school bar with great people doesn’t need much explanation?
Well, a tavern license application lists June 1 as a proposed opening date, so there’s that. The application also says Old Skoolz will carry frozen pizza, garlic bread, and cheese bread. The essentials. No muss, no fuss. Old school. Old Skoolz. Here are some remodeling pics.
