Since opening in the summer of 2017, 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St., 414-236-4056) has experienced a growing presence on area draft lines, earned heaps of praise from beer authorities and customers alike, improved its interior and exterior amenities, and helped bring Milwaukee brewing to exciting and new places. With six years in the books, the self-described “Urban Farmhouse Brewery” is going to celebrate the milestone with a winning mixture of beer, live music, and street food.

Join 1840 at its taproom (and on the street outside the Bay View brewery) on Saturday, July 29 for its “6 Year Anniversary Party.” From noon to 9 p.m., folks can enjoy six new beer releases in addition to 1840’s other bottled and tap options. Musical entertainment will be handled by The North 41, Frugal Stu & The Coupons, and 1840’s head brewer DJ HB. And if that’s not already enough of a reason to stop by, Twisted Plants and Tots On The Street will be parked outside and selling tasty festival fare.

Whether you’ve been along for the ride all six years of its existence, you’ve jumped on the bandwagon along the way, or the brewery is entirely new and unfamiliar to you, you’re cordially invited to celebrate “six years of slow beer” with 1840 Brewing Company next Saturday.
