It’s honestly pretty tough to follow this month’s screening of Children Of Men, but dammit, we must! And without patting ourselves on the back too much, Jackie Brown might be the best way to handle the almost impossible task of keeping the revival screening goodness going strong into February. Yes, we’re showing the action-packed 1997 Quentin Tarantino-directed crime flick at Avalon Theater on Wednesday, February 18. Tickets to the screening are on sale NOW.

To the unfamiliar, this woefully undersung cult classic stars the incomparable Pam Grier as the eponymous Jackie Brown, a flight attendant who finds herself in a predicament when she’s busted smuggling money in from Mexico. Hilarity, violence, and plenty of twists ensue. Along the way, viewers encounter the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster (at his absolute best), Robert De Niro, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and an indisputably kick ass soundtrack.

As always, the 7 p.m. showing is sponsored by our friends at Lakefront Brewery, Gruber Law Offices, and Skilos: A Family Pet Store. What are you waiting for? Get your tickets to our February 18 screening of Jackie Brown NOW!
