If, during your visit(s) to the 2023 Wisconsin State Fair last week (and two past weekends), it seemed like roughly one million other folks were there with you, enjoying the Fair’s sights, sounds, smells, and prize-winning produce, that’s because, well, they were.
Yep, according to a press release, a total of 1,043,350 folks enjoyed the 2023 Fair between August 3 and 13. “Thanks for being a part of the 1,043,350 incredible Fairgoers that made this Wisconsin State Fair so special,” the press release reads. “The 2023 Wisconsin State Fair truly offered something for everyone! With 25,000 visits to the all-new spectacular Cirque at the Fair attraction to the nostalgia of the first bite of that Original Cream Puff, the old and new blended seamlessly at the Wisconsin State Fair.”
Ignoring 2020 (when the Fair was outright canceled due to COVID-19) and the not-quite-back-to-normal 2021, the Wisconsin State Fair has drawn more than one million people every year since 2013. For those curious, here are the Fair attendance numbers from the past two decades:
