In case you missed the news, Milwaukee Record and Busby’s are joining forces on a new springtime celebration that will bring big time fun to one of Milwaukee’s smallest parks. On Saturday, May 24, the inaugural “Morgan Park Picnic” will take place at—you guessed it!—Morgan Park. From noon to 6 p.m., the eponymous park will play host to a family-friendly festival that will offer a winning mix of live entertainment, local food trucks, Milwaukee craft beer (and other refreshments), and area retailers set up in and around the triangle. It’s going to be awesome!
Though we have the vast majority of the details of this ambitious event figured out, we’re actually still looking for a few more local vendors to round out our lineup. So we’re now opening this up top the public. If you’re an area artist, maker, vintage clothing seller, book or record purveyor, apparel company, food retailer (note: food trucks are all set!), or area organization who would like a presence at this year’s event, please get in touch!
For a $75 fee (to paid to us in advance of the event), vendors get a 10′ x 10′ space to sell their goods and promote themselves. No generators or speakers are permitted, and vendors must remain on the grounds for the duration of the event. If you have any other questions or if you’re interested in taking one of the 12-15 remaining slots, email us at [email protected] by Thursday, May 1.
And stay tuned for the full vendor lineup and everything else you need to know about the inaugural Morgan Park Picnic. In the meantime, save the date for what’s sure to be a great time at Morgan Park on Saturday, May 24!
