“Storm coming through! Mother Nature means business! State Fair is about to get…rocked!”
So proclaims Bert Lauderdale in his report from the penultimate day of this year’s Wisconsin State Fair—a.k.a. The Great State Fair Flood of 2025. Yes, the fearless weather influencer was at the Fair before, during, and after Saturday’s mammoth storm, and he caught all the carnage on tape. The foreboding lightning. The sudden downpour. The scattering crowds. The unprecedented flooding. The fleeing from the fairgrounds. Luckily, Bert and company (including the invaluable Yung Mitch) escaped unharmed.
“It’s just a goddamn calamity out here!” Bert exclaims at one point. That’s putting it lightly. Thank you for your service, sir.
