Last week, right around the same time we were posting our massive 2023 summer festival guide, the fine folks at MobCraft Beer were quietly announcing their own contribution to the city’s extensive list of upcoming events. It might be a little…weird, but we’re sure some of you will enjoy what they have in store.

On Saturday, July 22, the Walker’s Point (by way of Madison) brewery will celebrate its 10th anniversary and its seventh year in Milwaukee with a familiar event. Yes, MobCraft’s 5th annual “Weird Fest Block Party” will bring a winning mix of beer, live entertainment, local vendors, and food to the streets outside its taproom located on the corner of 5th Street and Virginia Street.

From 11 a.m. through 11 p.m., attendees can “get weird” by donning costumes, enjoying live music, drinking “inspired and interesting beers” the brewery is making for the occasion, browsing goods from a variety of local makers, feasting on food from MobCraft and other area establishments, and partaking in other “shenanigans” that will be announced as the festival draws closer.

As you wait for the tap list and entertainment lineup to be revealed in full, save the date. It sounds like things are going to get weird outside MobCraft on Saturday, July 22. Or, more likely, it will just be a fairly normal block party that will still be an awesome time.

Check back for more info as July 22 approaches. In the meantime, watch this video promoting last year’s event to help get you in the Weird Fest spirit.
