Now that a new year is upon us, we wanted to take one last opportunity to look back at 2025. Though last year was a particularly bad one for this city, country, and for much of the world (very much including the writer of this very article), it was downright decent one for Milwaukee Record. Sure, we’ve had years where we’ve pulled in better traffic, made more money, and released more content, but we’re still proud of many things that our scrappy little local publication was able to pull off last year.

As we prepare to look ahead to more articles, more events, and hopefully more growth in 2026, we figured it might be a fun way to look back on the few good parts of the year that was by making some calculations and sharing them with you. Here’s Milwaukee Record‘s 2025 by the numbers.
