Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: Rain barrel babies Nimbus and Cirrus.
Nimbus and Cirrus were born in a rain barrel and taken into foster when they were about three weeks old. They are now ready to find their forever home cuddled up under your umbrella. These stormy sisters are playful and mischievous, but full of cuddles, purrs, and lots of love waiting to fill your home with fun.
Nimbus: This striped sweetheart is a grey tabby with white markings. Her most distinctive feature is her toe beans. One paw is all pink but the other paw has a black pad, so it looks like a heart. Nimbus is playful and loves to wrestle with her sister.
Cirrus: This cute girl is also a grey and white tabby, and has the prettiest amber eyes. She is working on coming out of her shell, but likes to quietly observe the happenings before diving in. She is playful and loves string toys and wrestling with Nimbus. She is definitely one to steal your heart.
Nimbus and Cirrus have been around cats, dogs, and elementary-aged children. Please let these two silly stormy girls turn rain into rainbows under your roof!
