Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a sweet girl named Monkey.

Meet Monkey. This lady is an absolute sweetheart and a wonderful conversationalist to boot. Once she feels comfortable around you, she is a ride-or-die buddy who loves to be right by your side. She has a cute little mark on her nose so you know just where to plant those kisses.

Born on the streets of Milwaukee, Monkey spent most of her kittenhood hiding from scary things. It takes her a few days to adjust to new folks, but once she does, she is a very affectionate and playful cat friend. She does well with other cats and enjoys the company of dogs as well…after proper intros, of course.

Monkey would do best in a low key home with at least one fur friend to keep her company. She would be fine with respectful older kids who will not chase her, and who give her space from time to time. Do you have the right home for this sweet girl?
