Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a charming guy called Kibble a.k.a. Catrick Swayze.
Meet Kibble, affectionately nicknamed “Catrick Swayze.” This charming feline will dance his way into your heart and make sure you have the time of your life. Initially a bit skittish, Kibble quickly warms up and will soon be standing on you, politely demanding a few extra treats. He’s a feather toy enthusiast, delivering roundhouse kicks worthy of Roadhouse, and he never leaves any wet food behind.
Kibble is a playful spirit, loving catnip toys almost as much as his feathered foes. He’s also a cuddle bug—on his own terms—and enjoys sleeping close to your feet, although he’s still learning that toes under blankets aren’t toys (even though they’re so tempting!). His meow, which is as adorable as it is persistent, becomes louder when he knows wet food is on the way, and he absolutely adores being brushed.
This curious little guy loves hanging out near people, gradually getting closer as he becomes more comfortable. Early mornings might find him trying to wake you up for chin scratches or breakfast. He’s also getting comfortable with kids aged 7-12, who understand that he needs a bit of space to warm up. Though he hasn’t met other animals face to face, he’s not intimidated by the neighborhood dogs who visit him through the window.
Kibble is ready to bring his playful energy and affectionate personality to a loving home. If you’re looking for a feline friend who’s equal parts playful and affectionate, Kibble is your guy!
