Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: the striking and playful tuxedo known as Email The Cat.
Email The Cat is a striking, green-eyed, pink-nosed tuxie boy with top notch cuddle credentials. While his age was estimated at around seven, his foster is convinced he’s younger thanks to his playful energy and general zest for life.
Email is wonderfully affectionate without being clingy. He loves attention, enjoys being petted, and purrs often. He’s a big snuggler, an A+ lap cat, and very comfortable being picked up and carried around like the big, sweet baby he is.
He’s social, friendly, and does well in calm to moderately active homes. Email would likely be fine with other cats and respectful dogs. He appreciates a household that offers both playtime and quality lounge opportunities.
The fine print: Email was transferred to us from a large shelter where he felt very stressed and was prone to nipping. We have not seen any of that behavior in foster care, but due to his past communications with his teeth, we think he would do best in a home without young children.
