Some Milwaukee things come and go while some become icons. Mandatory Milwaukee is all about the latter. This week: celebrating Halloween in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood.
Happy Halloween, Milwaukee! If, like us, you’ve been celebrating since Labor Day, the actual day is finally here! Hooray!
There’s no wrong way to celebrate Halloween, of course, but one of the best ways is to kick it in the city’s Bay View neighborhood. Yes, Bay View goes all out for Halloween. Need proof? Bay View had its own neighborhood trick-or-treat last weekend, but the city’s official trick-or-treat is tonight, Friday, October 31, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. So there’s still time to walk around and enjoy all the Bay View houses that do it big for the spooky season. (Some of them even have their own websites and Facebook pages.) Here are a few from 2025:

And that’s it! Celebrating Halloween in Bay View is Mandatory Milwaukee! Enjoy! Or beware!
