In 2019, Minneapolis-born Indeed Brewing Company crossed the mighty Mississippi River and put down roots in Milwaukee by opening a pilot brewery/taproom at 530 S. 2nd Street in the heart of Walker’s Point. Since then, they’ve become an integral part of the craft beer scene here in Brew City, they’ve helped raise money for countless area organizations, and they’ve given their adopted home some fun parties along the way.
The fun will continue on Saturday, September 26, as Indeed Brewing will celebrate its 7th Milwaukee anniversary and the start of fall with a day full of tasty beer, live entertainment, food trucks, local retail vendors, and more. The Low Down will liven up a block of 2nd Street—between Bruce and Virginia streets—from 12-10 p.m. During that span of time, the street and the brewery itself will be hosting a wide range of activities.
Beyond Indeed’s award-winning beers, there will be local retailers and area food vendors set up outside. The ever-popular “Beer Brûlée (basically heating beers with red hot fire pokers) will be offered from 3-8 p.m. WMSE‘s DJ Ascot will be playing tunes from 12-2 p.m. And you know the block party will feature an eclectic blend of live music. Here’s the lineup and schedule:
4 p.m. — Hanna Simone
5 p.m. — Emmitt James
6 p.m. — Totally Cashed
7 p.m. — Chapped Lips
Once the live music and outdoor fun comes to an end at 8 o’clock, there will be a Silent Disco after party taking place across the street at Indeed’s “Up Top” rooftop beer garden from 8-10 p.m. (with the limited number of headphones being given out on a first come, first serve basis). Save the date and make your way to Indeed Brewing’s Walker’s Point location for “The Low Down” on September 26. We’ll see you there!
