Can you believe Good City Brewing has only been around for two years? Since opening in early 2016, the craft brewery has been an instrumental part of the gradual resurgence of the city’s East Side. They’ve established a regular presence on Milwaukee draft lines and store shelves. Along the way, they added a killer rooftop patio and an on-site performance hall, and they just announced they’ll be opening a spacious taproom in the new Milwaukee Bucks Arena. Good City has a lot to celebrate, and they’ll do just that on June 16 during the brewery’s second anniversary celebration.

Today’s Good City Fest 2018 will feature food, live music, and special beer releases during the daylong party at the Farwell Ave. taproom. The event will double as the release for Salud, a tequila barrel aged Imperial Pilsner Good City brewed in collaboration with BelAir Cantina. Rarities from the brewery will also be tapped throughout the day, including Strahl Hefeweizen Cask (noon tapping), Rye Barrel Aged Lord Lyon (1 p.m.), Knob Creek Bourbon Barrel Aged Lord Lyon (1 p.m.), Velocity IPA with Grapefruit Cask (2 p.m.), 2017 BA Density (3 p.m.), and Belgian Quad (4 p.m.).

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Milwaukee festival without a generous serving of local music. Here’s who’s playing:

3 p.m. — The Bang Bang
5 p.m. — Cozy Danger
7 p.m. — Pretty Beggar
9 p.m. — Andy Noble and Kid Millions

Though music doesn’t start until 3 o’clock, the party kicks off at 11 a.m. Celebrate two huge years for Good City Brewing and prepare for even bigger and better things in year-three.
