While many of Milwaukee’s summer festivals, block parties, and other large scale happenings have already come and gone, one of the city’s best fests of the season is still on the horizon. Bay View Bash will return to Kinnickinnic Avenue on Saturday, September 20 and will fill the eponymous neighborhood with 11 hours worth of live entertainment, family fun, retail vendors, food, drinks, and more.

Since there’s a lot of stuff that will be happening on the long stretch of street between Clement Ave. and Potter Ave., we figured it might be a good idea to organize information about entertainers, beverages, food vendors, retailers, and some other aspects of this massive, FREE, and community-focused Bay View block party into one handy guide. Beyond those five stages, there will also be The Bay View Community Center Family Area sponsored by Jack Eckblad, which will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and off families the chance to enjoy:

• Entertainment by DJ Short Style throughout the day
• Folklorico Dance performance at 11:30 a.m.
• The Daley Debutantes Baton & Drum Corps at 2 p.m.
• A sensory experience with interactive stations where kids can learn regulation techniques in a fun way and take home a sensory toolkit
• A game area with activities for all ages
• Community resources

Additionally, The Cult Of Nasty will be also be walking around the entire festival and performing mobile concerts over the course of the day. Be on the lookout for them on the Bay View Bash grounds!

Other Entertainment

Folks are encouraged to bring their dogs with them to take part in the Bay View Bash Dog Costume Parade. The parade—organized by Mac’s Pet Depot—will start off at the business’ booth at 11 a.m., so meet there shortly before then if you and your furry friend wish to be involved.

Nearby the Bash grounds, Bay View United Methodist Church will host a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Who does it benefit? Glad you asked! “Every quarter you spend goes directly back into feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, welcoming the stranger, supporting the afflicted, nurturing young and old, ensuring all are loved.”

Speaking of church-related Bash happenings, the Immaculate Conception Church parking lot will be hosting the following things throughout the day.

Drinks

Like recent installments, all the beer stands will serve an eclectic array of local and domestic beer, craft seltzers, canned water, soda, and THC-derived beverages. This year marks the debut of Third Space’s “Bash Beam”, a Bay View Bash-exclusive blonde ale made special for the Bash by Third Space Brewing. Proceeds from Bash Beer sales will benefit non-profits in the 53207 zip code. All beverages will be served in cans for the sake of environmental sustainability. Here’s the full drink list!

Voyager will also have a wine bar set up at the event. We know this will fall on deaf ears for many of you, but please don’t carry in beverages. Bay View Bash is a free community event that’s executed by volunteers (sign up to volunteer HERE). Money from drink purchases is distributed throughout the 53207 community to nonprofits who directly impact the neighborhood.

The Bash Beam art and all other art related to this year’s Bash was created by Budget Orangey, a local artist who will be selling a wide variety of her creations at the festival.
