Historic Milwaukee to offer walking tours May through October

This week Historic Milwaukee Inc., Milwaukee’s only non-profit tour provider and organizer of Doors Open Milwaukee, will begin their walking tour season. Five different tours are offered Wednesday through Sunday each week through mid-October. Explore Bay View, Downtown, North Point Mansions, RiverWalk, and Third Ward with one of Historic Milwaukee’s expert guides.

Historic Milwaukee is taking the following steps to ensure the safety of their guides and tour attendees. They will utilize an audio headset system for all tours. Tour guides will wear a microphone and guests will each receive a headset to listen to the guide while social distancing. Per local pandemic guidelines, masks are required for all tours. If guests do not have a mask, Historic Milwaukee will provide one for free thanks to a partnership with the City of Milwaukee Health Department. Tours are limited to 20 guests and advanced registration is highly recommended.

Tourists and locals alike will learn something new about Milwaukee’s rich history. From Milwaukee’s prestigious downtown buildings to residential neighborhoods, Historic Milwaukee tours explore diverse architecture and histories.

Members of Historic Milwaukee can take the five regular walking tours for free. Tickets are $10 for non-members and $5 for children. Tours are recommended for ages 12 and up.
