Glorioso’s Italian Market Begins a New Chapter
MILWAUKEE, WI – August 2024 – Glorioso’s Italian Market, a longtime community favorite, owned by Teddy and Rosemary Glorioso, announced today after seven decades of serving the Milwaukee community it is transitioning to new ownership. Glorioso’s Fratelli, LLC a multi-store Italian family grocer in Illinois will be acquiring the business in October.
“It is important to us to keep the feel and rich history of Glorioso’s and pass it to the next generation,” said Teddy Glorioso, Owner. “The decision to transition the business to Glorioso’s Fratelli, LLC was based on their 47-year history running specialty stores and reputation as a well-run family business. This will ensure that our legacy continues to thrive, and customers will continue to enjoy the same high level of service, quality, and variety of Italian products they have come to expect for many years to come. Nothing will be changing; everything will remain the same.”
Founded on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1946, brothers Joe, Eddie, and Teddy opened Glorioso Brothers Foods. With a focus on selling high-quality Italian products and providing an exceptional customer experience, they have become one of Milwaukee’s most iconic businesses. Throughout the years, Glorioso’s has created a special culture of community, development, and growth.

Appetito & Sage Harvest culinary center and event space, which Glorioso’s opened in 2019, will be turned over to Chef Michael Solovey, founder of Sage Harvest Cooking School. Chef Solovey has acted as Chef Manager/Cooking School Director for Appetito & Sage Harvest since 2022. He will assume full ownership of the business and lease the building from the Glorioso family.
