County Parks Hiring Lifeguards for 2024, Offering Strong Pay and Incentives

WHAT: Milwaukee County Parks is hosting in-water training sessions for its lifeguard class of 2024.

Help support Milwaukee County pools this summer by becoming a member of the Milwaukee County Parks lifeguard class of 2024. The parks are offering a number of FREE courses over the next few months and are in need of qualified candidates. No previous experience as a lifeguard is necessary.

To qualify for training as a lifeguard for the Milwaukee County Parks, you must be at least 16 years of age by the time of hire, in good physical condition, AND able to swim 100 meters in less than 1 minute 45 seconds.

“The ability to work in the sun all summer, while earning great pay and incentives, presents an incredible opportunity for young people in our community to grow and develop while making memories that will last a lifetime,” said Guy Smith, Executive Director at Milwaukee County Parks.

“Working at our Milwaukee County Parks over the summer is a great way to become more engaged in the community, while earning a paycheck at the same time,” added Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. “I am encouraging our young people to apply for the 2024 lifeguard class and join our excellent team at Milwaukee County Parks!”
