100% MKE: Milwaukee’s newest art gallery where one hundred percent of sales go directly to artists
Located in the Historic Third Ward, 100% MKE celebrates local talent and fosters artistic community by offering a dedicated space for artists to work and showcase their art
Milwaukee, WI – A new gallery dedicated to empowering local artists is now open in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. 100% MKE operates with a unique model—100% of all sales go directly to the artists. This new gallery provides a space where both established and emerging artists can create and showcase their work.
Located at 217 N Broadway, 100% MKE seeks to bridge the gap between Milwaukee’s art scene and community by offering a direct way for art lovers and collectors to support local artists. Each piece in the gallery reflects the talent and passion of Milwaukee’s creators. “The opportunity to practice and exhibit my work within the Third Ward, not to mention inside a gorgeous historical building, is a thrill and an honor. I am extremely excited to be included in and engage with this vibrant, art-loving part of town,” says featured artist Stacey Stewartson.
Unlike most galleries, where a portion of sales typically goes toward operational costs or commissions, 100% MKE is privately funded. Every penny from each sale goes straight into the hands of the artist that created the work, allowing them to reinvest in their practice, continue their creative journey, and reach a broader audience.
To celebrate the grand opening, 100% MKE will host an open studio and reception on the evening of February 8th. The event, free and open to the public, will provide an opportunity to meet the artists, learn more about their work, participate in a collaborative art project, and purchase artworks.
