If there’s something the greater Milwaukee can’t have too many of, it’s beer gardens. Our abundance of designated places where folks can enjoy a beverage, snacks, and maybe even live entertainment in an outdoor public setting is one of the things that helps make this region so special in the spring and summer months. Last year, Milwaukee gained yet another beer garden when Third Ward Beer Garden at Catalano Square opened. Following the success of that 2023 debut, it’s returning in a bag way in 2024.

Last week, Third Ward Beer Garden at Catalano Square announced the first half of its massive live music lineup that will be taking to its rooftop stage this spring and summer. The free performances will take place Thursday and Friday night from 5-8:30 p.m. and from 3-6:30 p.m. on Saturdays. The series will kick off with an Opening Party & Gallery Night event on Friday, April 19 that includes musical accompaniment by Rick Pomeroy. Subsequent performances will feature the likes of Ben Harold, Marcell Guyton, Jesse Voelker, and many more.

Beyond the live music offerings, the beer garden will also host a Summer Solstice Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival on Saturday, June 22 and its “Octoberfest” celebration September 5-7. Check out Third Ward Beer Garden at Catalano Square’s schedule of events from April through June below, and stay tuned for more info on what the rest of the beer garden’s summer holds.
