Brooklyn-based label Partisan Records is home to some top-tier national talent (Eagulls, John Grant) as well as some top-tier local (or local-ish) talent, including Field Report, Sylvan Esso, and Phox. Those latter two groups meet on a lovely new version of Phox’s already lovely “Slow Motion,” which receives the deluxe Sylvan Esso/Nick Sanborn remix treatment all lovely songs deserve, and all lovely songs will one day probably get.
