During last year’s Record Store Day festivities, Milwaukee’s long-running Exclusive Company location (1669 N. Farwell Ave.) was preparing to call it quits after more than 30 years on Milwaukee’s East Side. That Farwell farewell doubled as a fundraiser for Lilliput Records, a new independent record store owned and operated by former Exclusive managers Tanner Musgrove and Brian Kirk, which opened in the same property last June.

For this year’s Record Store Day installment (Saturday, April 22), Lilliput and Milwaukee Record have ambitious plans for a day full of live music, DJ sets, a pop-up cafe, raffles for concert tickets and other goodies, and the chance to get discounts at nearby businesses. Oh, the store will also have some new Record Store Day releases on hand and will be offering sales on a variety of non-RSD releases all day long. There are a lot of aspects of Lilliput’s Record Store Day celebration, so we’re just going to go point-by-point.

Coffee

If you don’t want to miss out on a limited edition release while in line at your local coffee shop, Lilliput and Nomad Coffee Bar have you covered. First off, Nomad Coffee Bar—located just around the corner from Lilliput—will be open at 6 a.m. so shoppers can stock up on pastries and caffeinated beverages before the record store opens at 7 a.m. Once Lilliput opens, Nomad Coffee Bar will also have a pop-up coffee stand in the store.

Music

From open to close, Lilliput will be alive with on-site DJs and live performances by musicians. Here’s the tentative schedule for all the free all-ages entertainment.

7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. — DJ set by Eric Von Munz of WMSE
9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. DJ set by the Milwaukee Record guys (that’s us!)
12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. — DJ set by Cody Kimb
4 p.m. — Performance by William Seidel (of Dramatic Lovers, Decibully, Camden)
5:15 p.m. — Performance by Heather The Jerk (from Madison)
6:30 p.m. — Performance by Doubter (Milwaukee’s own!)
