Is there a day of the week that doesn’t feature a free music series this summer? Our ever-growing guide to summer festivals, fairs, music series, and more says NO. Recently added to that list is Colectivo’s Música del Lago series, which takes place one Thursday each month (from June through August) at Colectivo’s lakefront cafe (1701 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.). Presented in conjunction with the Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies at UW-Milwaukee, the series is now in its 21st year.
The music begins at 6 p.m. Here’s the lineup:
June 18: Septeto Charambo
July 16: Orquesta Rumba
August 20: De La Buena
Again: it’s free! The rain date is set for August 27. Attendees can enjoy a special cafe menu during performances. As always, there’s free parking in the lot across the street from the cafe (next to the sailing center).
