Have you heard of Elway? The Fort Collins, Colorado-based punk project that shares its name with a certain whiny Hall of Fame quarterback who bested the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII (we still don’t want to talk about it!) has been around for almost 20 years. Along the way, they’ve released a number of celebrated albums and EPs—including last year’s excellent Nobody’s Going To Heaven—and toured regularly, including occasional stops in Wisconsin through the years.

Today, Elway announced its summer tour, which will begin right here in Milwaukee. “The Morale Is High” tour will kick off with a show at MKeUltra (1535 W. Mitchell St.) on Thursday, July 2. The veteran Red Scare Industries band will be preceded with a solo set by New York-based Tired Radio and followed by Direct Hit!, a Milwaukee outfit that’s worth the price of admission on their own.

Speaking of admission, tickets to this show—presented by Red Scare Industries and Milwaukee Record, by the way!—cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Elway in Milwaukee! July 2! Be there!
