We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: One of the last/only good things left on the internet these days is Yoshi Beer Nommelier, an affable Japanese man (now based in New York) who reviews beers and malt beverages from all around the world and posts his assessments on TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. He’s knowledgeable, thoughtful, curious, enthusiastic, and just plain likable.

Back in July, we told you of Yoshi’s plans to travel to Milwaukee to partake in some of the state’s many fine beer offerings. Even though his “Wisconsin Beer Trip” coincided with the dumb, bullshit-ass, national embarrassment, utter economic failure that was Milwaukee hosting the Republican National Convention, it seems like he still managed to have some fun touring iconic brewing sites and sampling local beers. Since leaving town, Yoshi has sporadically released videos from his time in town.

He’s put out 10 “Wisconsin Beer Trip” videos so far, including eight beer reviews and two recaps of tours he’s taken. To spare you the scrolling, we’ve included them all below. We’re not sure how many total videos he’s made from his journey, so be on the lookout for more.

Lion’s Tail Citrus Shandy

Lakefront New Grist

Sprecher Beyond Braggot (2014)

Lakefront Hazy Rabbit

Lion’s Tail Pilsner In Paradise

Best Place Tour

Lakefront Brewsicle

Sprecher Frambois

Lakefront Brewery Tour

Lakefront Riverwest Stein

He made a dent, but there’s obviously a lot of places he still needs to hit. Hopefully he’ll make his way back to Wisconsin next summer. Regardless, thanks for visiting and shining a light on some of the state’s breweries, Yoshi. See ya!
