Have you always dreamed of eating a five-course meal outside, in the middle of a closed city street, on a giant long table, seated along with 99 other folks, all for the low, low price of $175 per person? Well, NOW YOU CAN.
On Thursday, September 22, from 6-9 p.m., the Historic Third Ward Association will host the first-ever “Gather,” an “alfresco, long-table dinner celebrating cuisine, culture and community in the heart of the Historic Third Ward.” Neat!
The 200 block of North Broadway (between Chicago and Buffalo) will be closed to traffic for the occasion. A pre-dinner “Mix & Mingle” sponsored by 2A Wine Merchants, Tied House, and Wizard Works Brewing Company will kick things off. The dinner itself will be a five-course meal created by the folks at Dan Dan/EsterEv, Onesto, Bavette, and Tre Rivali. Wine pairings will be handled by 2A Wine Merchants, and dessert will be handled by Matilda Bakehouse.
“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the culinary talent in the Third Ward than by creating this one-of-a-kind event in the heart of the district,” says Jim Plaisted, executive director of the Historic Third Ward, in a press release.
Tickets for the whole shebang are $175 per person, and are available NOW. (The Village was/is good and we won’t hear otherwise!)
