UPDATE (3/16/20, 10 p.m.): According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “Bars and restaurants across Milwaukee County are expected to be ordered to close within the next 24 hours, except for carryout, delivery and curbside service—an effort of elected and health officials to head off a growing number of coronavirus cases.”

It’s official: Amidst ongoing COVID-19 concerns, Gov. Tony Evers has ordered a statewide ban on gatherings of 50 or more people. “Critical infrastructure and services such as grocery stores, food pantries, childcare centers, pharmacies, and hospitals will be exempt from this order,” Evers said.

And yet, unlike other state governors, Evers has not (yet?) called for the closure of all restaurants, leaving many Milwaukee establishments scrambling to change their services. Want to eat local and help an industry that is currently taking an almost inconceivable hit? Here’s a list of other lists of Milwaukee restaurants that are offering delivery and take-out service.
