Actor Hugh Jackman will be at Kopp’s Frozen Custard in Greenfield, 7631 W. Layton Ave., on Tuesday, December 2.
Jackman (along with director Craig Brewer) will be serving free scoops of Kopp’s special flavor of the day, “Song Sung Blueberry.”
Parking will be available, beginning at 1 p.m., at Kopp’s and other neighboring businesses. Those neighboring businesses are: Associated Bank, BioLife Plasma Services, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Sendik’s Food Market, and St. John the Baptist Armenian Orthodox Church. Follow the Greenfield Police Department Facebook page for more parking and traffic info.
Folks can begin lining up in a designated area at Kopp’s at 1:30 p.m.
The first 500 people in line at 2:30 p.m. will get a free scoop of “Song Sung Blueberry” from Jackman and Brewer.
“Song Sung Blueberry” is described as “blueberry custard twirled with a cream cheese custard, incorporating swirls of blueberry ribbon with pastry pieces and streusel crumble.” It will be available all day long.
The whole thing is to promote Brewer’s new film Song Sung Blue, which tells the story of Milwaukee’s Mike and Claire Sardina and their long-running Neil Diamond tribute act Lightning & Thunder. It stars Jackman and Kate Hudson. It opens Christmas Day. A invitation-only Milwaukee premiere with Jackman and Brewer will take place at the Oriental Theatre on December 2.
That’s it.
