Since its start in 2012, Silver City International Festival has celebrated the numerous cultures that help make Silver City the most diverse neighborhood in Milwaukee through food, the arts, and music. In 2020, what would have been the ninth annual festival was canceled on account of the COVID-19 crisis. A pet parade happened in its place in an effort to draw people to local businesses in a safe and socially distant way.

Following a slightly scaled-down edition at Arlington Heights Park last September, we’re pleased to report Silver City International Festival will make its triumphant return to National Avenue (between 33rd Street and 35th Street) on Saturday, September 10. From noon to 5 p.m., the 11th annual festival will offer live music performances, an eclectic blend of food and art vendors, children’s activities, and much more.

UPDATE (8/26/22): Silver City International Festival has released the list of special guests, food vendors, and community partners. You can find that info below:

“Supervisor Juan Miguel Martinez and Alderwoman JoCasta Zamarripa will be in attendance. Participating food vendors include, VS Pandanggo, Escuela Verde’s Newline Community Cafe, Isa’s Ice Cream, Shalom Puerto Rican Restaurant, Orenda Cafe, Mamie’s Bar, Vientiane and more. Community Partners include, CCHP Mobile Vaccination Clinic, Urban Ecology Center, Save the Domes, Literacy Services of WI, UEDA, and more.”
