Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a bobtail bro named Morris.

Meet Morris! Morris is one of a kind. He’s only a couple of years old, but already has a huge personality. He sometimes looks like he knows the unspeakable secrets of the universe and other times looks like a complete dope.

Morris is quite the foodie with an indiscriminate palate that enjoys ALL the food. When he is not noshing, he is napping and snuggling up on your chest for pets, or grooming himself with aplomb. He wants to look his best. When he’s happy, he doesn’t purr so much as breathe heavily like a weirdo. He has not yet shown too much interest in toys, but he loves his catnip.

He’s a very unique combination of black and orange and does have some chunks of fur missing from his time struggling on the streets. He was injured upon rescue and required half a tail amputation, so Morris has a little bobtail.

Morris is shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s very friendly, affectionate, and will be the cutest little familiar anyone could ask for. He would probably do best in a quiet home as the only cat, where he feels safe and secure.
