Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a cookies ‘n cream charmer called Oliver.
Meet Oliver! Oliver is a cookies ’n cream charmer with giant satellite dish ears, a tiny goatee, and a nose that turns bright red whenever he gets excited. He might be gunning for Rudolph’s job this holiday season.

This boy is confident, playful, and hilarious in all the best ways. He’ll “sit pretty” for a Churu, offer a polite paw shake, and chirp at you in his tiny soft voice like he’s telling secrets. He loves being picked up, adores chin scratches, and is a creative genius with his springs—he’ll carry one around until he finds the perfect thing to bounce it off.
He’s not a lap cat, but he is a “curl up next to you at bedtime” cat. Quirk: if you’re occupying his favorite spot he may give a gentle “excuse me, this seat is taken” swat. Respect the spot and all will be well.

Oliver would thrive with a playful, confident cat buddy or a human committed to daily wand toy workouts. He might be too much for young children, but does great with middle school-age and up. If you want a cat who makes you laugh, learns tricks, snuggles up at night, and has a festive Rudolph nose, Oliver is your guy.
