Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a lovable lady named Dynamite.
We know Dynamite always LOOKS like she’s unhappy to see you, but that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Dynamite loves being held like the Shangri-Las “Close. Very, very close.” Hold this gal like a little baby and she just MELTS into you and starts purring. She’s a quiet kitty, but has recently found her voice. When her foster mama leaves the room, she’ll start to meow. Or right before mealtime, she’ll give a little squeak to let you know she would like her food please.
Dynamite was born in a local Milwaukee colony. She was bullied out of food by the other kitties there. She’s just a little gal and is far too congenial to fight for her food. As a young cat, Dynamite is starting to fill out, but she’s still thin and long…like a little noodle.
Because of the bullying, she has been very wary of her other cat friends. For this reason, she would do best with a patient adopter who is willing to take the time to let her come out of her shell to feel comfortable. She needs someone who will be patient when introducing their kitties to her, or a person who has no other animal friends in the home. If you give Dynamite a chance, you will have yourself a top-notch noodle bestie!
