When thinking of summer, one no doubt thinks about things like swimming, festivals and fairs, camping, baseball games, grilling, hiking, fishing, picnics, among other outdoor activities. Depending on where you live, you might also think about amusement parks, family fun centers, and the like.
Though Milwaukee has loads of amenities that offer summertime fun for both residents and visitors of all ages, the city sadly doesn’t have a full-fledged amusement park. That wasn’t always the case. The region used to be home to a number of ’em! As you enjoy many of the other things that make Milwaukee a great site for summer fun, let’s take a look back at SOME (a.k.a. not all…so hold those comments!) former Milwaukee-area amusement parks and family fun centers of yesteryear.
