We here at Milwaukee Record are fans of a good online auction. Since our Pretty Good Online Auction won’t be happening until fall, we wanted to draw your attention to another great local auction that’s happening right now.

Historic Milwaukee‘s online auction launched this morning. Between February 19 and February 27, people can place their bids on a wide range of locally-focused items from a variety of businesses, while helping the organization in the process.

“This auction helps support Historic Milwaukee’s year round mission to share our city’s architecture, history, and neighborhoods,” a Historic Milwaukee press release says. “By bidding and donating to our organization you are helping to support programs like Doors Open, Spaces & Traces, student walking tours, and more.”

The more than 100 auction items include gift cards to area restaurants and breweries, theater tickets, hotel stays, Historic Milwaukee shop products, Blacksmithing courses, a Bubblr bike membership, and hyper-local delights like an autographed Gertie the Duck book and even a Zoom chat with John Gurda himself. Oh, and they’re also auctioning a complete set of those awesome Milwaukee Neighborhood Posters! The auction runs through 9 p.m. CST on Sunday, February 27. Place those bids now!
