Depending on which news sources you follow, Milwaukee is going through either a “renaissance” or a “reinvention.” However you want to define it, it’s safe to say that Milwaukee is currently building a lot of new and wonderful things! Here are some of them, brought to you by GTG Home Buyers!
• Back in February, your Milwaukee Brewers announced two new additions to American Family Field: a renovated playground inside the stadium, and a brand new plaza outside the stadium. The announcement came complete with renderings of the former:

And now, the Brewers have unveiled renderings of the latter, a.k.a. the UW Credit Union Plaza. Located next to the pedestrian bridge that crosses Highway 175/Brewers Boulevard, the plaza is pitched as a “free, open-access space on gamedays, designed to extend the ballpark experience beyond the gates while celebrating the Brewers, Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.” It will feature a beer garden, a live performance stage, a playground for little kids, and a mini golf course for older kids. It’s set to open in June 2026.

“The UW Credit Union Plaza allows us to amplify one of the best fan experiences in all of baseball,” says Brewers President – Business Operations Rick Schlesinger in a press release. “This project builds on the entertainment culture that already exists outside our ballpark—from tailgating to gathering with friends and family. This reflects our commitment to creating spaces that feel uniquely Milwaukee and unmistakably Wisconsin.” [Press release]
• Speaking of outdoor plazas, the Deer District’s outdoor plaza, The Beer Garden, is being transformed and rebranded into The Deer Garden. Makes sense!
The new Deer Garden debuted earlier this week; we were going to snap some photos of it, but, you know, snow. For what it’s worth, here’s what it looked like in the glorious, beautiful, championship year of 2021:

“Deer District continues to evolve as a vibrant destination for the Milwaukee community, and we’re excited to introduce The Deer Garden to our world-class dining and entertainment lineup,” says Michael Belot, Milwaukee Bucks Senior Vice President of Business Operations & Chief Real Estate Development Officer, in a press release. “With a premier drink menu, The Deer Garden will offer an elevated outdoor experience for Deer District visitors to enjoy throughout the summer.” [Press release]
