On Tuesday, April 7, Wisconsin will vote in the 2026 Spring Election. It’s super important and individual votes matter. Here’s the super-simple deal:

• Everyone in Wisconsin will vote for a new Justice Of The Supreme Court. The open seat is due to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley choosing to not seek reelection. Bradley is a conservative judge.

Running for the seat are Judge Chris Taylor and Judge Maria S. Lazar. Taylor is a liberal judge. Lazar is a conservative judge.

If Taylor wins, the court will have a 5-2 liberal majority. If Lazar wins, the court will have a 4-3 liberal majority.

So you’ll probably want to vote for Chris Taylor if you’re liberal. And you’ll probably want to vote for Maria S. Lazar if you’re conservative. That’s it.

There might be some local and/or non-contested races on your ballot, too. As always, find information on what will be on your ballot, where to vote, how to register to vote, and more voting goodness at MyVoteWisconsin.com. VOTE.
