Everyone knows Wisconsin State Fair‘s famed WonderFair Wheel. But what if that wheel was 75 feet taller, tied to America’s 250th anniversary, and each of its 45 gondolas (nine more than the WonderFair Wheel!) was themed “to showcase the 45 individuals who have held the highest office in the land, President of the United State of America”?
Well, then you’d have the America 250 Wheel, a traveling attraction set to land, spin, and probably get some folks worked up at the 2026 State Fair, August 6-16.
“In addition to lighting up the night sky and providing stunning views, the America 250 Wheel will offer Fairgoers history lessons from America’s storied past as well as highlighting the U.S. Constitution and the National Parks,” reads a press release. “Each of the 45 gondolas seat six and is themed to showcase the 45 individuals who have held the highest office in the land, President of the United State of America. It’s the perfect backdrop for commemorative photos to capture memories that will last a lifetime.”
DIBS ON THE WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON GONDOLA! NO, THE JAMES K. POLK GONDOLA! (We can only imagine the hubbub that will surround a different presidential-themed gondola.)
