MILWAUKEE, WI (June 6, 2023) – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) and Northwestern Mutual, through its Foundation, announced details for the 2023 Northwestern Mutual FREE Sunday Family Fun Days with MKE with Kids at the Northwestern Mutual Community Park. The 2023 Sunday Family Fun Day event series will take place June 18, July 16, August 6, and September 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Northwestern Mutual Community Park is Wisconsin’s premiere accessible playground, located at Henry Maier Festival Park in downtown Milwaukee, WI. The Park welcomes people of all abilities and backgrounds. Since opening in 2021, it has become a sought-after destination, while introducing an entirely redeveloped entertainment space for families in an urban environment.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring back Sunday Family Fun Days to the Northwestern Mutual Park, thanks to Northwestern Mutual and their Foundation,” said Don Smiley, CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. “The Park has become a popular destination and these FREE community events offer learning and interactive experiences for the whole family to enjoy.”

“Over the past two years, the Northwestern Mutual Community Park has proven to be a popular and well-loved inclusive play space for children of all ages and abilities,” said Steve Radke, president of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation. “This year’s Sunday Family Fun Days builds upon our goal to offer thousands of Milwaukee residents and visitors access to family-friendly programming. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with MWF in helping to reach families in a fun and accessible way.”

The final Sunday Family Fun Day event on September 17, will be themed around the performing arts, highlighting various United Performing Arts (UPAF) member groups from the community. More details will be announced closer to the event date.
