Summer doesn’t technically end until September 22, but you know the deal: Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer. And Labor Day weekend…is this coming weekend. Sigh.
Seasons end. Time moves on without pause or compunction. And Milwaukee summer music series grow quiet, one after another, packing up their things and hunkering down for another preposterously long winter. Sure, there are always cold-weather shindigs like Mitten Fest to look forward to, but can you believe this is the last week for Chill On The Hill? And Washington Park Wednesdays? And a bunch of other summer music series? Where did the summer go?
Double sigh. Anyway, here are those summer music series that are coming to a seasonal end this week/weekend. They’re followed, thankfully, by a list of summer music series that still have a little summer left in them.
