As Milwaukee prepares to say goodbye to July, the city has already said farewell to a wide variety of festivals, block parties, and a number of other celebrations that help make summer here special. After German Fest, Brady Street Festival, and Riverwest 24 end this weekend, the city will unofficially enter the downswing of festival season. Still, there are some notable happenings on the horizon. The Milwaukee Comedy Festival is approaching. There are still a handful of Chill On The Hill and Concert Cruise installments left. The Wisconsin State Fair and Center Street Daze are both on the way. Plus, both Milwaukee Film Festival (which technically takes place in fall, but whatever!) and Bay View Bash haven’t even released their lineups yet. Another late-summer standout is the second annual Triple Eye Industries Festival.

On Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26, the young label will celebrate its third anniversary with a two-day, two-venue, four-show festival that will feature a total of 21 bands from throughout the Midwest. We posted the full lineup earlier this month, but to whet the appetite of listeners (and maybe help inspire a few more weekend pass sales), Triple Eye is going to release a compilation that features acts taking part in the weekend-long affair.

Vinyl Noise Beer Vol. 2 is a 21-song buffet of the label’s eclectic lineup, as well as unaffiliated noise rock bands from the region that will be performing at the festival. The compilation includes unreleased songs by Guerrilla Ghost, Static Eyes—who will release a cassette to coincide with the festival—and more, as well as material you can hear on some of Triple Eye’s 26 releases (and counting). Clear the last weekend in August, then listen to Vinyl Noise Beer Vol. 2 now, only at Milwaukee Record.
