Following a sold-out inaugural installment in early 2019, the second annual Turner Hall Tiki Takedown was planning to bring warm vibes and island cocktails back to the downtown ballroom March 22, 2020. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cocktail competition to be put on hold indefinitely. However, more than 18 months later, that long-postponed event has finally been rescheduled.

Turner Hall Tiki Takedown will officially return on Sunday, November 14. From 12-3 p.m., Turner Hall will host mixologists from a variety of local bars and restaurants, who will be serving up samples of handcrafted tiki cocktails as they compete for the coveted Tiki Takedown Trophy and Tiki Master title. Confirmed participating businesses include:

Blackwood Brothers Restaurant & Social Club
Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria
Boone and Crockett
Burnhearts
DanDan
FINKS
Sabbatic
Shanghai Speakeasy
Station No. 6
The Belmont Tavern
Third Street Tavern
Ula Ula

In addition to the $25 general admission tickets (which are on sale NOW), there’s also a $40 VIP level that includes early entry, appetizers, private balcony access, a commemorative cup, and a discounted parking option. The event will also include DJ sets by DJ E.Rich, a raffle, and rum sampling from official Tiki Takedown spirits partner Cutwater Spirits.

As always, we recommend you brush up on Pabst Theater Group’s vaccine, testing, and mask policy before purchasing tickets. Get ready for tasty drinks and tropically-tinged fun on Sunday, November 14. We’ll see you there!
