Following a 15-month run in West Allis, Caulfield’s (7413 W. Greenfield Ave.) has closed. Owner Casey Rataczak announced the sudden closure of the wine bar on restaurant on social media Saturday night. The post suggests Rataczak intends to “bring you something fun and unique” into the space later this year. Here’s the statement:
Hey folks, after a great deal of thought, we’ve decided to close Caulfield’s. I want to thank everyone that came in and enjoyed the food and drink the last 15 months. It was a pleasure meeting all of you.
I also want to thank everyone that worked here. A lot of hard work and thought went into the food, cocktails, and wine list. We’re going to take a break, put our thinking caps on, and bring you something fun and unique.
Until next fall…
Caulfield’s opened in the longtime site of Benno’s in early 2025. The business offered a blend of accessible pub fare, elevated entrees, small plates, and bar snacks. Prior to launching Caulfield’s, Rataczak opened Camino in Walker’s Point in 2015 and added a second Camino location on Greenfield Ave. in West Allis (about two blocks from Caulfield’s) in 2020.
Farewell, Caulfield’s. Stay tuned for more information about what’s next for 7413 W. Greenfield Ave. in the coming months.
