The Avalon and Rosebud have such sights to show you at this year’s Shocktoberfest

That’s right, horror hounds, Avalon Theater and Rosebud Cinema‘s annual celebration of all things spooky, gory, and Halloween-y is back! This year’s Shocktoberfest (the series’ fifth) is top-notch, and boasts classic flicks like the original Halloween, the original Hellraiser, the original Evil Dead, the original Phantasm, the director’s cut of The Exorcist, the 1982 version of The Thing, and Videodrome and Beetlejuice. Plus Children Of The Corn, which we always forget features Linda Hamilton, and Arsenic And Old Lace, which we never forget features Carey Grant. (And yes, there’s one unofficial Shocktoberfest film coming to Times Cinema.)

Tickets for individual screenings are $5. Here’s the full lineup and schedule, complete with ticket links. Can’t make one of the screenings due to a scheduling conflict? No tears, please. It’s a waste of good suffering.
