Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a sweet little lady known as Kirby June.
Meet Kirby June (aka June Bug), a sweet little lady with the prettiest grey and cream coat, and gorgeous green eyes. This gal is currently being fostered with a whole bunch of cats and a very chill senior dog, but would do just as well in a home as an only cat. She likes to snuggle with her cat pals now and then, but is just as happy to chill on her own or spend the evening curled up next to her favorite person for some marathon book reading or Netflix sessions.
Kirby June is a bit on the shy side around new people but once she settles in, she lets you know she loves you with her little whisper mews and lots of purrs. She would do great in a quieter home without a lot of commotion and would be perfect for someone looking for a low-maintenance snuggle companion. Meeting new people can be a little scary for Kirby June, so her foster would love to connect over video chats first to show you just how sweet and snuggly she is when she’s comfortable and settled in.
