Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: a sweet and adventurous lad known as Junior.
Meet Junior! This brave and confident boy has quite the story to tell. Junior was rescued after making a daring leap out of a garage window and ending up with a serious armpit injury that required stitches and lots of TLC. He’s healed up beautifully and is now racing into life full speed ahead. Junior can zoom around like lightning when the mood strikes. And be prepared—he believes toilet paper is the ultimate toy, so keep it out of reach unless you enjoy two-ply confetti!

Despite his adventurous outdoor past, Junior is a total sweetheart. He adores attention, loves other cats, and will happily curl up near you for pets. He’s got a funny habit of licking your hand lovingly…and then switching to gentle “love nibbles.” If you are taking a bathroom break and you’ve been in there too long, expect a little paw to slide under the door saying, “Hey, remember me?”
Junior is looking for a home where he can share his affectionate, playful spirit and get all the love he deserves. After everything he’s been through, he’s ready to run (or zoom!) into his next adventure—a life filled with cuddles, playtime, and friendship. He would do best in a home that has another playful cat or a friendly smaller dog.
